DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA accredited school. Five years' experience in clinical care and health management of large animal species including small ruminants and swine to include one year supervisory experience. Must have the ability to diagnose and treat multiple species. Licensed DVM in at least one state. Exceptional interpersonal skills, ability to work with a diverse group, organized, meticulous documentation skills, and self-motivated. Must be able to work independently with limited supervision. Ability to work a varied schedule as needed to meet research objectives. Ability to multi task & work cooperatively with others.  
Texas Licensed DVM with at least 2 years experience in internal medicine, critical care, or related specialty. Experience in care of research animals and care of complex cases involving surgery and animals implanted with medical devices. Prefer surgical experience in soft tissue, neurology, and orthopedics. The Integrated Ocean Drilling Program (IODP) at Texas A&M University invites applications for the position of Marine Laboratory Specialist (ASPP) with the Technical and Analytical Department (TAS). These positions may require up to six (6) months at sea per year on the research vessel, R/V JOIDES Resolution, which operates worldwide on two-month scientific drilling expeditions. This position performs the responsibilities of a lab technician aboard the research ship on a nominally two-month at sea, two month ashore rotation (ASPP). Duties include calibrating, operating and maintaining analytical instruments and equipment, analyzing samples with responsibility for collecting and entering data, and interfacing with a diverse, international scientific party. Responsibilities include processing, handling and sampling cores throughout the shipboard laboratories. The successful applicant will be required to lift boxes, equipment, core samples and participate in logistical support of the vessel, both in port and at sea, as well as other duties required.

The successful applicant will join a team of faculty at NCSU and biologists at across the east coast of the US to design a broad scale study and analyze mark-resight data for the American Oystercatcher.  The candidate will be supervised by Dr. Beth Gardner at NC State University (Raleigh, NC) and will work closely with Dr. Ken Pollock and Dr. Ted Simons in the Department of Biology, NCSU.   Our primary objectives are to provide a sound survey design for estimating population size for the American Oystercatcher and to develop models for spatially explicit mark – resight data.

Biology Instructor

Vernon College (VC) invites applications for Biology Instructor on the Vernon Campus. VC is a comprehensive community college located in Vernon, Texas, 50 miles west of Wichita Falls, Texas. The main campus is located in Vernon and three additional campuses are located in Wichita Falls, TX.
Duties

The instructor will be responsible for Planning and delivering instruction in Biology, both lecture and lab activities. Qualifications

Differential Profiling of Ubiquitinome via Proteomics (212)

A postdoctoral position is available immediately to investigate dynamics of ubiquitinome and ubiquitin-like proteomes using modern proteomics technologies. A successful candidate will use a combination of advanced separation techniques such as 2D Gel Electrophoresis (2D-GE) and 2D chromatography in conjunction with advanced mass spectrometry techniques developed in our lab to define and study the dynamics of ubiquitinome. A candidate should be proficient in 2D-GE, chromatography and immunopurification methods. A PhD and asolid background in molecular biology is required. Candidates with strong quantitative skills and separation science backgrounds are most highly desired. Previous experience with mass spectrometry is not required but can be a plus. A candidate must be strong in communication and analytical skills, focused and motivated to succeed, and able to work as a team as well as independently. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience (based on UT Southwestern scale). The position will be initially available for one year, with the renewal (up to 4-5 years) based on the performance and funding availability.
