The Male Pregnancy, Sexual Selection, and Evolution Lab
We don't always just work in the lab. Sometimes we do other things, like eat and go to meetings. Here are some pictures of us doing some stuff.

In the summer of 2012, Emily Rose and Sarah Flanagan scoured the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic coast of Florida for Gulf pipefish. They were extremely successful, and here are some pictures from their trip.

Basically the coolest collecting vehicle ever.

They are so lucky to have such a nice set of wheels.

And Sarah looks great behind the wheel!

Collecting looks like fun, but the door's open!

Processing samples in a luxury hotel room.

Emily is prepared to do battle with the freezer where she and Sarah dropped off some samples for safekeeping until the trip home.

Another great place to process samples!

Watch out for sharks!

They even got some help from former Jones Lab member Charlyn Partridge (right).

Emily is resting in her awesome toe shoes.

Sarah is processing even more samples.

It wasn't all fun and games...

but even this storm didn't stop Emily and Sarah.

Processing samples with a smile.

What Sarah looks like to a pipefish.

Every successful collecting trip should end with Emily driving a boat.

Drive that boat!
