Biography

Laura Higgins grew up in Austin, TX and after fostering a love for science since an early age, began work on her bachelor's degree in microbiology at Texas A&M University in the fall of 2005. After four long years and completing such classes as microbiology, biology, genetics, microbial biotechnology, and molecular cell biology, she plans to graduate in May 2009. In addition to a love for science, Laura also shares a passion for the cello, an instrument which she has studied for the past ten years. After graduation, Laura hopes to go on to pursue a graduate degree.
