Facilities
The Laboratory for Functional Genomics (LFG, Director, Terry L. Thomas) serves as Core A of the Program Project within the CRBC. The LFG provides facilities, services, and expertise related to bioinformatics and genomics research.
Core B of the Program Project (Director, Mark Zoran) supports a facility for Real-Time Imaging of Circadian Processes. The facility provides bench and wet lab areas for specimen and culture preparation and a sepctrum of molecular biology and imaging equipment. Newly-renovated space houses two real-time fluorescence imaging systems for quantitative fluorescence in cultured cells: a cryo-cooled CCD camera system for low-light imaging of luminescent gene expression reporters and a Real-Time Microscopy System for ions and GFP reporters.
