about the height. Measure from the ground up (i.e. don't include root
length on herbs). Vines have a length to which they crawl or climb.
Measurements may be metric or English, but remember to include units.Include as much habitat information as
possible. Don't include temporary weather conditions.Growth form choices: herb, vine, tree, or
shrubList flower or fruit color, and indicate
which you are describing. If you have both, put both. The month may be written out or represented
by a Roman numeral, but it is never written with a regular (Arabic)
numeral.The
citation includes the author or title of the book you used to identify
the plant, and the page number on which the description is found. Write
this down when you key the plant. Why have to go back and
do it later?
