DBIG labs hold
"supergroup" meetings once a month to discuss ongoing
research. Each month, a student or postdoc from one of the
participating labs is given the opportunity to present his
or her work before a large-but-friendly audience. Meetings
provide a forum to practice talks for national meetings, or
to get constructive feedback on manuscripts preparatory to
submission for publication. At the same time, members of other
DBIG labs benefit from learning about specific approaches
and concerns of investigators from other fields. Meetings
are highly social * and often loud * gatherings, with food
provided by the presenting author. |
