DBIG Journal Club Banner

The Developmental Genetics journal club provides a forum for students, postdocs and faculty to discuss current literature and concepts. Each week, one member of the journal club selects a paper from the primary literature, generally less than one year old, to present to the group. Open discussion of concepts is the primary goal. Graduate students typically earn course credit for their participation. The journal club offers new students an introduction to techniques and exposure to diverse developmental processes in numerous species. It also provides a comfortable forum for public speaking. For senior students, postdocs and faulty, the journal club provides a means of staying current with the literature and facilitates consideration of diverse viewpoints.
The journal club meets on Fridays from 12:30-2 pm in room 403 Biolchemistry.
