GroupWise at Home
Computing Services gets numerous requests from Faculty and Staff wanting to use the GroupWise software
on their home computer. Although Computing Services is not sufficiently staffed to provide support for user's home computers, we offer the GroupWise software for Microsoft
Windows to those users who are willing to be self supporting.
The procedure that follows will instruct you on how to install the GroupWise software on your home computer. Please be sure to read and understand the warning below. If
you need further clarification before proceeding you may call the Computing Services Help Desk at 845-7751.
Windows
WARNING!
If you currently use Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express on your computer for other e-mail accounts,
installing the GroupWise software could interfere or render unusable the Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express
program(s). We recommend that you make backups of all important data and if you have Windows XP, to create a system restore point before proceeding. See
Microsoft Help and Support System Restore
for more information about System Restore.
GroupWise SETUPIP
SETUPIP is a small program that is designed to be downloaded to your computer and when executed
will install the GroupWise software. An Internet connection is required for the installation.
- Click the link below to download the GroupWise SETUPIP file to your computer.
DOWNLOAD GROUPWISE 7 SETUPIP
- If your browser asks if you want to Open (Run) or Save the file, choose Open (Run). Otherwise save the file somewhere you can find it easily (like "Desktop" or "My Documents") then run the program yourself.
- The SETUPIP program begins by downloading the GroupWise installation files. This may take hours on a slow, dial-up connection. Once the installation files have been downloaded, the GroupWise software installation will automatically begin.

GroupWise 7 Client SP3 PPC Macintosh Multi-language
System requirements
- Mac OS 10.3 (panther) or Mac OS 10.4 (Tiger)
- JAVA Virtual Machine (JVM) 1.4.2 or later
- 75 MB of disc space to install the Cross-Platform Client
Installation
- Download the GroupWise 7 Client SP3 PPC Macintosh Multi-Language (40MB).
- Double click to extract the file, move the GroupWise application to your Applications folder.
- Launch the client.
GroupWise 7 Client SP3 Intel Macintosh Multi Language
System requirements
- Mac OS X on Intel
- JAVA Virtual Machine (JVM) 1.4.2 or later
- 75 MB of disc space to install the Cross-Platform Client
Installation
- Download the GroupWise 7 Client SP3 Macintosh Intel Multi-Language (40MB).
- Double click to extract the file, move the GroupWise application to your Applications folder.
- Launch the client.
Important Information Launching GroupWise for the First Time! The first time you launch GroupWise you will see a dialog box like the one below. Type your User ID and Password then make sure Online is selected and the Address and Port are entered.
