Welcome! The Faculty of Neuroscience at Texas A&M offers a wide variety of interdisciplinary study programs that can be tailored to suit individual student needs in neuroscience training as part of the M.S. and Ph.D. degree programs of conventional departments. At Texas A&M University, there is a special opportunity for collaboration among scientists studying different areas of neuroscience in five colleges (Agriculture, Liberal Arts, Medicine, Science and Veterinary Medicine). Individual programs can be designed with emphasis on research training in areas such as molecular neurobiology, neuroanatomy, developmental neurobiology, neurochemistry, neuroendocriniology, neurogenetics, neuorpharmacology, neurotoxicology, neurophysiology, physiological psychology, and ethology. Course requirements vary according to the admitting department, the degree program, the area of research specialization, and the experience and goals of the individual student. Each degree plan is developed by the student in consultation with a faculty supervisor and an advisory committee. Applications and additional program information can be obtained from the address below. For each of the participating departments, applicants are accepted based on their undergraduate record, letters of recommendation, and Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) scores. The TOEFL is required of all international students whose native language is not English. Neuroscience
