Secure Printing Features

Secure printing on departmental Xerox printers in BSBW is available on systems (either Windows or Mac environments) which have the Xerox print drivers installed (subject to departmental administration approval). This page will explain the steps needed to secure a printout with a specific 4-10 digit numeric passcode on a Xerox printer until the specific user is able to physically enter the passcode at the specific Xerox printer and release the print job, ensuring that the printout is received on by the specific user printing the document. In any case, no matter the operating system, this option is selected under “Job Type” within the respective Printer Properties dialog box.

Windows Environment (Microsoft Office):

File > Print > Printer Properties > Printing Options > Job Type > Secure Print

Type in your 4-10 digit numeric passcode twice to secure the print job and then print the document.

Windows Environment (Adobe Products):

File > Print > Properties > Printing Options > Job Type > Secure Print

Type in your 4-10 digit numeric passcode twice to secure the print job and then print the document.

Mac OS (All Products):

Open the print window [for your given software] > Below Copies and Pages choose drop-down and select Xerox Features > Select Paper/Output

Under “Job Type” click and select “Secure Print.” Type in your 4-10 digit numeric passcode twice to secure the print job and then print the document.

Please Note: Xerox printing is subject to departmental administration approval.
