Dr. Deborah Bell-Pedersen Honored with Outstanding Career Award

Texas A&M University Department of Biology proudly announces that Dr. Deborah Bell-Pedersen, University Distinguished Professor of Biology, has received the Outstanding Career Award from the College of Arts and Sciences. This award recognizes her sustained, long-term excellence in research, teaching, and service. A global leader in chronobiology, Dr. Bell-Pedersen’s groundbreaking research on circadian rhythms has advanced understanding of gene regulation in health and disease. She has published over 65 peer-reviewed papers with more than 10,000 citations, led major NIH-funded research initiatives, and founded the Center for Biological Clocks at Texas A&M. In addition to her scientific impact, she is a dedicated educator and mentor who has developed innovative courses and played a key role in departmental and campus-wide initiatives. Her career exemplifies distinction in every aspect of academic life and continues to shape the future of biology at Texas A&M.
